Goong
Princess Hours is a drama that starts with the interesting premise. What if modern Korea were a constitutional monarchy with a king? and offers two types of fun the romance arising between a noble prince and an ordinary girl, and the familiarity of all this happening in modern-day Korea. A perfect boy from a noble bloodline, with good looks and a sense of unpolished beauty has to marry against his will at the age of 17. An ordinary girl from an ordinary family, with a clumsy character, average grades and average looks oversteps the prejudice and barriers surrounding her. The process how they fall in love with each other unfolds with excitement.

This was the first drama I didn't get bored of. Every episode was full of twists that made the entire story line exciting. I think everyone just fell in love with YEH's character (even if she cried most of the time). JJH and KJH's battle to win YEH's heart was epic in the sense that they were like any two teenage boys (except the fact that they're part of the royal family) who were fighting to win over YEH. I loved the mind games they initiated on one another. Another thing that I liked about the drama is how it perfectly portrayed the symbolism of dynasty in the sense that the KJH, JJH and YEH where also going through what their parents went through years ago.
My favorite charcter would probably be KJH'smom rofl because I think she was just too consumed with her love for her son and her thirst to get back the throne that was rightfully his should his father still be alive right now.

Everything on the set screamed "$$$!". A very extravagant set. One of my favourites. Something I enjoy watching over and over again. The really good OST's only helped. I liked the storyline. Their marriage didn't have a hand-written contract (it was arranged! LOL), nor did anyone suffer from a fatal disease (which was quite common at the time). It provokes tears as well as it tickles your funny bone.
But, if I wasn't someone who had to absolutely watch every single minute of a drama, I would've fast-forwarded the grandmother's part. Besides that, definitely a must-watch!

Goong is adorable - Yoon Eun Hye is great, and her acting skills definitely improve over the course of the series. Great storyline and cinematography!
One of my absolute favorite K-dramas!

This is one of the most original serials I've ever seen. The concept seems too implausible, but somehow it really works. It's a fun, romantic comedy with just a bit of over-the-top melodrama. But it's definitely worth watching. Lots of fans were hoping for a second season, but apparently ownership issues has led to all kinds of "real life" drama, and only a poor spin-off sequel. I believe it was based on a successful manhwa serial.

The cinematography is amazing. Every shot is like a postcard. The costumes are also amazing.
